Big Announcement

We’re excited to welcome a new face to our team!
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Sophia Johnson our newest optometrist at Up North Eye Care
Dr. Johnson is originally from the small town of Sheridan, Michigan and comes from a proud line of Ferris Bulldogs. She earned her undergraduate degree at Ferris State University and completed her Doctorate of Optometry at Michigan College of Optometry.
Over the past three years, she had the opportunity to care for patients in a variety of communities, gaining valuable experience in diverse clinical settings. She has a special interest in primary eye care and ocular disease and is passionate about helping patients maintain lifelong visual health. She also hopes to help expand the offices services by adding a Vision Therapy Program in the near future
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys reading, collecting graphic novels, crafting, and spending time with her fiancé and their dog, Poppy.
She will be seeing patient in both the Rogers City and Alpena location. We’re thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait for you to meet her at your next visit!
